A presentation of phase one of the Roxbury Park Master Plan was held Wednesday for residents of Beverly Hills. Phase one will include a new community center with features such as a gymnasium, library, meeting facilities, a game room for teens, a senior center, and cafe.

A mixed use development consisting of 126 studio, 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom apartments on 3 floors above a 14,000 s. f. ground floor devoted to a supermarket, cafe and live-work lofts. The architecture combines color and form to create a distinctive 'marker' along Ventura Boulevard, the 'main street' of the San Fernando Valley. The project has gathered considerable attention as a contemporary response to the fake mediterranean eyesores.

On Alden Drive in North Beverly Hills, Young Israel starts to take form. The project is a reconstruction of an abandoned steel frame over a concrete basement. It's main sanctuary will seat 400 and also houses a large social hall, Bais Midrash, offices, balcony seating, and outdoor gathering space.
